Making A Purchase.
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue by entering the Index, and click on any items that you wish to buy and Add to Cart . After you have finished your selection, click on Check Out with PayPal. You will be shown your order summary before proceeding and given the opportunity to cancel and return to the web site.
If you wish to pay by Cheque please email us using the Contact section of the Web site and we will send an invoice by email. Goods will be dispatched on clearance of funds.
All products remain the property of Wheeltappers DCC Sounds until they are paid for in full.

Dispatch Time.
We endeavour to dispatch goods within 24 hours of the receipt of the order with cleared funds. We make all reasonable endeavours to meet any stated delivery dates, however, any delivery dates given are only estimates and can change for reasons beyond our control.

Copyright.
All sound-files remain the property of Wheeltappers DCC Sounds who grant a licence for the purchaser to use those sounds on the decoder supplied by Wheeltappers DCC Sounds or alternatively loaded onto the customer's own decoder.
Any alteration of the sound file other than general settings i.e. volume control, chuff synchronisation and motor calibration can not be done without the express permission of Wheeltappers DCC Sounds.
The sounds sold with a new sound decoder, supplied with a locomotive or other rail vehicle or loaded onto the customers own decoder may not be copied recorded or loaded onto any other decoder, recording or transmission device unless under the express permission of Wheeltappers DCC Sounds.
Any such copying will be treated as an infringement of the copyright.
Wheeltappers DCC Sounds asserts their moral rights over this work in accordance with the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988.
This copyright also protects a number of 'neighbouring and entrepreneurial' rights such as sound recordings.
Sound files sent to other suppliers under trade discount agreement will be subject to these terms and conditions on receipt of the sent locked file. Any attempt to obtain goods from this web site by using false details will be reported to the relevant authorities.

Taxation.
Wheeltappers DCC Sounds is a sole trader which is trading below the VAT registration requirements.
Any purchases outside of the UK maybe subject to further VAT payments, customer charges, handling charges and further postage charges.
As we are trading below the VAT registration requirement we cannot refund VAT charges to overseas and EU customers.

Guarantee.
All advertised items come with the manufacturers standard warranty. Unless otherwise stated.
Return postage of items under warranty cannot be reclaimed and is the responsibility of the sender.
As from the 3rd November 2019 all returned faulty decoders MUST have the 8 or 6 pin plug attached as anything returned without the fitted plug will be rejected by ESU for warranty.
8 Pin harness are available if you need to hard wire your locomotive.
The removal of the heat sink, where fitted, may also result in the rejection of a replacement under warranty.

Complaints.
In the unlikely event that you have a complaint about any aspect of dealing with Wheeltappers DCC Sounds please contact us at the earliest opportunity in order that we may amicably resolve the problem.

Cancellation and Returns Policy Under the Distance selling Regulations.
Once an order has been placed, you will have the right to cancel the order at any time prior to shipment without reason. Wheeltappers DCC Sounds will return your money within 14 days of the receipt of the returned goods which have been cancelled. Depending upon the reason for cancellation, you may have to pay the cost of returning the goods to our premises. In the unlikely event that you wish to return goods to us you must contact us first to obtain a returns authorisation . All goods must be returned in the original packaging and complete with all booklets etc. within 7 days of cancellation date. The cost of returning the goods must be met by the purchaser together with any insurance costs. The risk of any returned goods not received by Wheeltappers DCC Sounds is wholly with the purchaser For your protection, we recommend that you use an insured tracked delivery service if the value of the return is more than £50 GBP..
Refunds on files sent as a re-blow (Digital Download) are not covered as there is no item to return as the customer has already received the goods and is still usable unless the file is faulty and has been checked by Wheeltappers DCC Sounds.
An error in sending the incorrect decoder serial number may incur further payment for a fresh file to be sent at the discretion of Wheeltappers DCC Sounds.


Damaged or Defective Goods.
You should inspect the goods when you receive them for physical defects or damage. If you find any such physical defects or damage Please let us know as soon as possible. This will enable us to make the necessary claim on the relevant Mail insurance. We will then arrange for the safe return to us at no cost to yourself. You will be offered a refund or replacement at your discretion, replacement is subject to availability.
No responsibility is taken by Wheeltappers DCC Sounds for any damage to models due to incorrect fitting, wiring, body removable and fitting of third party equipment. i.e. smoke units and lights etc.

Shipping And Handling.
All prices are subject to postal charges (see Postal rates). Most items are shipped within 24 hours of receiving your order. All orders will be carefully packaged and legibly addressed. We are not responsible for the loss or damage of any package shipped to a customer - this is the responsibility of the Postal Service. We are willing to assist you in the investigation of the loss or damage of your package.
