LNER N2

LNER/BR N2
N. Gresley enlarged the design of the Ivatt N1 to create the N2 0-6-2T locomotives in 1920.
The majority were fitted with condensing apparatus for working on the Metropolitan Widened Lines into Moorgate.
Some locomotives that were allocated to Scotland and others that could be found scattered over the Eastern Region had their condensing equipment removed.
The BR power class allocated to these locos was 3MT

BR number series 69490-69596.

The last locomotive was withdrawn in 1962.

1 has been preserved.

The N2 sounds have been recorded from the prototype.

The file has been updated to the new functions.
