These locomotives introduced in 1933 were N.Gresley's rebuild of Great Eastern Holden designed D15s.
The locomotives power class 2P, were used mainly over East Anglia on Great Eastern and Midland and Great Northern Joint lines mainly on passenger and parcels trains.
BR number series 62510-62620.
The last locomotive was withdrawn in 1959.
None have been preserved.
The D16/3 sounds are generic as there are none in preservation.
