BR Standard 3MT 2-6-2 Tanks
These Riddles designed BR Standard 2-6-2 Tank locomotives were a development of the GWR 2-6-2 Prairie Tanks.
Introduced in 1952 production continued up until 1955 in all 45 were built in Swindon.
They were allocated to the Western and Southern Regions working mixed traffic duties.
The initial 10 being allocated to Tysley, the next 10 to Eastleigh and Exemouth Jcn.
Then a small batch of 5 were allocated to the North Eastern Region Darlington/Kirkby Stephen area but they then moved to the Southern in 1963.
The rest were scattered on the Southern Region, Wales and the West Country.
BR number series 82000-82044.
Last Locomotive withdrawn in 1967.
None been preserved.
The Std 3 sounds are generic as there are none in preservation.
The sounds are enhanced with archived sounds.
The file has been updated to the new functions.
Not all functions are available on all locomotives.
