GWR 78xx ‘Manor’






GWR/BR Manor (7800) Class
Designed by Collett and built in 1936-1939 for use on the Cambrian and Midland & South Western sections of the GWR.
These 4-6-0 locomotives were to replace the 4300 series of 2-6-0 locomotives incorporating reused parts including the wheels and motion 20 were built in 1938-39.
Building ceased during WWII but in 1950 a further 10 were produced by British Railways. This is a very useful model as it can be used on virtually any type of train that you wish to couple up to it.


BR number series 7800-7829

Last Locomotive withdrawn in 1964.

9 have been preserved.


The GWR ‘Manor’ sounds have been recorded from the prototype.

The file has been updated to the new functions.
Not all functions are available on all locomotives.
