N.I.R. Class 104 Bo-Bo.

N.I.R. Class 104 Bo-Bo.
In 1986 Northern Ireland Railways had a potential source of freight traffic from proposed lignite mines. To cover this traffic 6 C.I.E Class C201 locomotives were purchased.
The locomotives which had General Motors 8-B645E 1100hp units were stored as redundant by C.IE. Unfortunately, the traffic promised did not materialise and the locomotives were given work on permanent way trains and yard shunting at Adelaide.
