GWR/BR 15XX
Although designed by Hawksworth for the GWR these locomotives did not enter service until 1949 and therefore were taken directly into BR stock.
Allocated to London and Newport (Gwent) these locomotives did not stray far from their home sheds. The one that has been preserved was sold by BR to the National Coal Board together with another 2 that unfortunately have been scrapped.
