The British Railways 4-6-0 Standard 5 locomotives were a development of the LMS Black 5 Class.
They could be found over all regions of the system, 20 of those on the Southern were named after characters in the King Arthur ledgend.
The type of work that they performed was passenger and parcels traffic and also fast fitted freight.
BR number series 73000-7371
Last Locomotive withdrawn in 1967.
5 have been preserved
The Std 5 sounds have been recorded from the prototype.
