B.R. Derby Works Class108
Coupling code Blue Square.
Introduced in 1958 these 2,3 and 4car units were designed by British Rail based on experience gained from previous production.
They were built at Derby Works.
The Class later became known as 108 under the TOPS numbering scheme.
The motor cars were powered by 2 BUT(AEC) 150hp horizontal 6-cylinder engines.
These units were originally allocated
to the Eastern and London Midland Regions.

Approximately 50 individual cars have been preserved.
