BR Standard 9F
Designed by R. A. Riddles for British Railways and introduced in 1954 these 2-10-0 engines saw service from South Wales to East Anglia and Southampton to Carlisle.
Primarily designed for heavy freight work these locomotives could also be found hauling passenger trains from Bath (Green Park) to Bournemouth (West) and for a brief period were used on South Wales to Paddington expresses.
BR number series 92000-92019 and 92030-92250
The last locomotive was withdrawn in 1968.
9 have been preserved.
The 9F sounds have been recorded from the prototype.
The file has been updated to the new functions.
