LNER/BR Q6
The North Eastern Railway built 0-8-0 locomotives, designed by Raven to move freight in the North East of the country.
The Q6 class (Originally classed T9 by the N.E.R.) was introduced in 1913 with construction continuing up to 1921, in all 120 were built.
BR Classified the locomotives as 6F.
The class very rarely strayed from their home territory in the North East being shedded at location bounded by Consett, North Blyth, Hull and Leeds.
Due to their design they were rarely seen on anything but long slow coal trains.
