GWR/BR Prairie Tank 3150 class
These large prairie tanks were designed by Churchward.
These 2-6-2T and their descendants locomotives could be found all over the GWR and later Western region of British Railways.
The locomotives duties were passenger, freight, empty stock working, and parcels, they originally could be found scattered from London to West Wales, the South West and Birkenhead, but in their later years there were concentrations at Severn Tunnel Junction and between Tysley and Laira.
BR number series 3150-3190
Last locomotive withdrawn 1958.
None have been preserved.
