GWR 1366
GWR/BR Pannier Tank 1366 Class
In 1934 Collett designed the 1366 class 0-6-0 pannier tank which was a development of the Churchward 1361 class of saddle tank.
Their small driving wheels and short wheelbase made them ideal for use in confined areas such as docks and works areas where sharp curves existed.
Locos 1367-1370 were fitted with steam heating for carriages and warning bells for working the Weymouth Harbour branch.
In 1962 three of the class were moved to Wadebridge in Cornwall to work the Wenford Bridge branch replacing withdrawn Beattie well tanks.
BR number series 1366-1371
