LBSCR E4 Class
The London Brighton & South Coast Railway sent 13 of its E4 0-6-2 tank locomotives to France.
It would appear from photographic evidence that they all kept their LBSCR numbers which were used as large bunker-side numbers by the R.O.D.
All 13 were repatriated in 1919.

R. O. D. Numbers 470,481,498,504,506,518,519,562-565,577,580.
BR Number series 32463 & 32520, 32556-32566, 32577-32580.
Last of class withdrawn 1961.
1 has been preserved.
