In 1925 the independent Weston Clevedon and Portishead Railway purchased two Terrier Class locomotives from the London Brighton & South Coast Railway.
And operated them until that railway became bankrupt in 1940 at which point the GWR as a major creditor took the locomotives over.
No. 6 was withdrawn within 1 month of BR being formed in 1948 but No5 soldiered on moving to Taunton and Newton Abbott before being taken to Swindon Stock shed prior to withdrawal.

Last ex WCPR locomotive withdrawn 1954 neither preserved but look at the ex SR section for those locomotives that stayed on the Southern Railway.
