LSWR/SR/BR M7
Designed by Drummond for the London and South Western Railway (LSWR) these 0-4-4 Tank locomotives were built from 1897-1911.
Originally there were 105 locomotives in the class, but one was rebuilt as 1921 with a class 700 boiler and later scrapped.
Of the 104 left to be taken into BR stock one gained notoriety by falling down the lift shaft into the Waterloo and City tube and was broken up on the spot.
BR power classified the locomotives as 2P indicating their passenger role, some were push pull fitted.
The locomotives in BR Days were used on the Western and Brighton Districts of the Southern Region their most famous role was of pilots bringing empty stock into Waterloo and assisting Bullied Pacific's to depart by pushing the rear of the departing trains.

BR number series between 30021-30060, 30104 to 30481 (with gaps) 30667-30676
Last locomotive withdrawn 1964, 2 locomotives have been preserved.
