LMS Stanier Mogul
LMS/BR 5MT Stanier Mogul
Introduced in 1933 and produced over a 2 year period these locomotives were Staniers first design for the LMS.
These locomotives were a mixed traffic 2-6-0 (or Mogul) equivalent in power to the Hughes/Fowler Crabs and were given power class 5MT.
The class could be found on anything from a humble freight to passenger trains on the London Midland region of BR mostly on the Euston-Holyhead, Liverpool and Carlisle routes.
BR number series 42945-42984.
Last Locomotive withdrawn in 1967.
1 has been preserved.
The Stanier Mogul sounds have been recorded from the prototype.
