Originally GWR/BR class 4575
To mark their150th anniversary London Transport hired in preserved ex GWR Prairie Tank No 5521 fitted a new braking system and had it repainted into L.T. Livery.
The locomotive then ran excursions and special trains to celebrate the event.
This class introduced in 1927 under the direction of Collett was a further development of the 45XX class with increased water capacity.
The locomotive is preserved.
The file has been updated to the new functions.
