Coupling code Blue Square.
Introduced in 1956 these 2 and 3car units were designed and built by Cravens.
The Class later became known as 105 under the TOPS numbering scheme.
Over 400 individual cars were built.
The motor cars were powered by either 2 BUT(AEC) 150hp horizontal 6 cylinder, Leyland/Albion equivalents or a single Rolls Royce 238hp 8 cylinder engine.
These units were originally allocated to the Eastern and London Midland Regions.
Only three individual cars have been preserved.
