LNER J94






LNER/BR J94 Hunslet
Built between 1943 and 1946 these 0-6-0ST locomotives were built for the Ministry of Supply.
After the war the LNER bought 75 of them and classified them as class J94.
They could be found scattered throughout the Eastern and North Eastern Regions some being allocated to ex Cheshire Lines Committee depots and Wrexham.
6 of them were allocated to the Cromford and High Peak line in Derbyshire at one time or another.
In industrial use many of these locomotives were provided to work in collieries, docks, quarries and factories throughout the UK.





BR Number series 68006-68080.

The last locomotive was withdrawn from BR stock in 1967.

2 ex BR locos and many ex industrial ones have been preserved




The J94 sounds have been recorded from the prototype.
