The original batch of 10 were numbered 3473-3482 were renumbered in 1912 to 3800,3831-3839.
With a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement and outside cylinders, boiler pressure of 300psi the locos developed a tractive effort of 20,530lb.
Primarily designed for use on the Hereford - Shrewsbury line where 4-6-0s were prohibited at that time.

These locos were together with the 'County Tanks' not the most successful of Churchward's designs.

Last of class withdrawn in 1933 none preserved.
